Electrical Fitter

We're hiring an Electrical Fitter to join a globally recognised manufacturer based in Chapel-en-le-Frith.

This is a great opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped heavy engineering workshop, wiring and testing electrical control panels as part of a skilled and experienced team.

What will you be doing as an Electrical Fitter?

• Control panel assembly - building, wiring and testing electrical control panels
• Fitting and wiring electro-mechanical wire-roped hoists and testing to specification
• Assembling and connecting electromechanical components
• Reading and working from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Carrying out electrical fault finding where required
• Ensuring all work conforms to relevant drawing specifications and tolerances
• Checking that calibrated equipment is in good condition and within calibration date

What do you need?

• Time served to NVQ3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• 18th Edition wiring regulations (desirable)
• Experience working as an electrician within heavy manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
• Experience with 3 phase electrical systems and panel wiring
• Experience with frequency inverters and PLCs
