Electrical Fitter
Location: Cumbria and Penrith
Salary: andpound;35,000-andpound;40,000 per annum plus company van

We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter to join a dynamic operations team and ensure the reliable installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of electrical apparatus across several substations. If you are a hands-on professional with strong craft fitting skills with experience working on high-voltage substations, then we''d love to hear from you.
This field-based role will be suited to an organised electrical and mechanically minded professional either seeking progression, professional development or adventure in your role.
Responsibilities
- Carry out construction, maintenance, and fault repair work on 33kV/132kV plant and equipment.
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical components including switches, isolators, circuit breakers, batteries, transformers, and protection systems.
- Operate safely in accordance with Health andamp; Safety legislation, company codes of practice, and, where applicable, CDM regulations.
- Support the delivery of works in compliance with operational standards and required timeframes.
- Participate in 24-hour standby rotas as part of emergency response readiness.
- Liaise with team members and engineers to ensure seamless execution of field operations.
What we require from you
- Proven fitting craft skills (essential).
- Recognised Craft Apprenticeship or Vocational Training (minimum NVQ Level 3) (essential).
- Operational authorisations for high-voltage work
- NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) accreditation
- Working knowledge of safe working practices and risk assessments
- Experience with high-voltage systems and substation equipment
- Good understanding of Health andamp; Safety legislation and personal responsibilities
- Solid understanding of the electricity infrastructure and network operations (essential).
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet business and regulatory targets.
- Strong teamwork, flexibility, and interpersonal skills (essential).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence (Category B essential)
