We''re looking for an Electrical Field Service Engineer / Maintenance Electrician to join an established Northwest engineering business, supporting customers across the region with planned maintenance, breakdown response, installation and commissioning.
The Role
As an Electrical Field Service Engineer, you''ll be responsible for keeping a range of pumping, water treatment and associated electrical systems operating safely and efficiently.
You''ll spend your time out on customer sites, working independently while also being part of a wider engineering team. No two days are likely to be the same, with the role covering everything from preventative maintenance and electrical fault finding through to installation and commissioning.
You''ll also take part in a 24/7 standby rota, currently one week in four, providing support for emergency breakdowns.
What You''ll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
- Working on pumps, control panels, instrumentation and electrical control systems
- Installing, removing and commissioning equipment
- Responding to breakdowns and identifying ways to prevent repeat failures
- Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
- Providing technical support to customers and colleagues
- Working safely and professionally across a range of customer sites
We''re looking for an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in industrial electrical maintenance, installation and fault finding.
You''ll ideally have:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualification
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience with pumps, pumping systems, control panels, instrumentation or mechanical equipment would be highly advantageous.
- 2391 or 2394/2395 would also be beneficial.
For this role you are entitled to a basis salary of -50,960 (-52,910 with on call) + overtime, company van, fuel card, and a company pension contribution.
