Salary: Up to -42,000 per annum
Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Estates and Facilities team within a healthcare facility in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a critical environment, supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of building electrical systems across the site.
Working closely with the Estates Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring all electrical infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards, minimising downtime and ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations and healthcare facility requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on electrical systems and equipment across the site.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a timely and safe manner.
- Ensure all electrical installations and systems comply with current regulations and healthcare standards.
- Support compliance with statutory inspections, testing, and certification requirements.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and prioritise critical systems within a healthcare environment.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out using relevant systems.
- Liaise with contractors and internal teams to support the delivery of engineering works.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times, particularly within a live operational environment.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (or current equivalent).
- Proven experience in building services maintenance or a similar environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Previous experience within a healthcare or other critical environment is desirable.
