Static Electrical Engineer – Plymouth

Plymouth
£38,000 + Excellent Benefits
Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm
On-Call Rota Required

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Static Electrical Engineer to join a busy Facilities Management team, supporting a modern healthcare environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with a varied workload, working across both planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring critical building services remain safe, compliant and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
  • Fault find, diagnose and repair electrical systems efficiently.
  • Maintain electrical plant and support mechanical building services where required.
  • Ensure all maintenance is completed in line with SFG20, HTM guidance and current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Complete maintenance records and compliance documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maximise equipment reliability, performance and availability.
  • Work safely in accordance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Recognised electrical qualifications with proven experience in Facilities Management or Building Services.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical plant and building services.
  • Previous experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Experience working within a call-out environment.
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience within healthcare or other critical environments would be highly advantageous.
