We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing and highly collaborative engineering team focused on the development of complex electromechanical products used within highly regulated environments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, testing, validation, and documentation of electrical systems for sophisticated equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, high-quality products from concept through to commercialisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead system and subsystem electrical design activities for New Product Development projects.
- Design, develop, test, and validate electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
- Develop compliant product designs in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Create and review requirements specifications, test protocols, validation reports, and technical documentation.
- Develop and execute robust verification and validation test plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across products, processes, and technologies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service, Regulatory, Reliability, and Marketing.
- Manage technical interactions with suppliers, consultants, and external partners to ensure designs and prototypes meet specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and contribute to engineering roadmaps and future product strategies.
- Support and mentor engineers, designers, and technicians within project teams.
Requirements
Essential
- Bachelor''s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Experience designing and developing printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Strong knowledge of single-phase, two-phase, and three-phase electrical systems.
- System-level engineering experience with an understanding of electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering principles.
- Experience controlling electromechanical devices such as motors, solenoids, heaters, and sensors.
- Understanding of machine electrical hardware, including wiring, connectors, thermal management, packaging, and power distribution.
- Experience developing electrical system and PCB requirements, testing procedures, and validation documentation.
- Knowledge of sensor technologies including pressure transducers, thermocouples, and RTDs.
- Familiarity with HMI technologies such as touchscreens, displays, printers, and operator interfaces.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with Design for Manufacture (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and serviceability considerations.
- Experience working within design control processes in regulated industries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including project planning, resource management, scope definition, and technical guidance.
