Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established heavy industrial manufacturing business in the Greater Morecambe area. Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of production machinery and ancillary plant through planned and reactive maintenance, helping to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you''ll carry out electrical fault finding, maintenance and installations, supporting continuous improvement initiatives across a busy manufacturing environment. You''ll work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while maintaining high engineering standards.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Strong electrical maintenance background.
• Engineering qualification (or equivalent experience).
• PLC fault-finding experience.
• Good communication skills.

Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical fault finding.
• PLC fault finding.
• DC drives.
• Control loops.
• Instrumentation.
• Panel wiring.
• Motor testing and replacement.
• Preventative maintenance.

Desirable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Continuous process manufacturing experience.
• Instrumentation calibration experience.
• Experience working on large industrial machinery.
