Electrical Engineer - Enegy from Waste
Astute People are currently recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join the maintenance department of a large Energy from Waste plant in Kent. This plant can produce up to 45MW of Power by processing up to 550,000 tonnes of waste per year, usually destined for landfill. The Electrical Engineer will play an integral part in ensuring the plants electrical systems are maintained and in working order to ensure maximum plant availability. Responsibilities and duties:As the Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for:Managing electrical and engineering projects from concept through to installation, commissioning and handoverTaking responsibility for the site electrical distribution network, including HV supplies and switchgearEnsuring statutory electrical testing and inspections are completed in line with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and best practiceSupporting the development and use of the site CMMS in line with maintenance strategiesAssisting with plant upgrades, planned outages and continuous improvement initiativesManaging and supervising contractors and supporting maintenance teams when requiredDeputising for the Maintenance Manager and Team Leaders when neededEnsuring all work is carried out safely and in line with SHEQ standardsProviding technical support to other EFW sites within the group when required Professional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Ideally ..... full job details .....
