Electrical Engineer / Electrician required to join a leading M&E (mechanical & electrical) installation company.

The successful Electrical Engineer / Electrician will be field-based, covering Devon, Plymouth, Cornwall, Dorest and surrounding areas-responsible for installation, maintenance, testing, and fault finding across a range of industrial, commercial, and domestic projects. The role will have a strong focus on supporting HVAC systems, controls, and renewable technologies, working closely with project teams to deliver high-quality electrical installations.

The Electrical Engineer / Electrician must hold recognised electrical qualifications, including 18th Edition certification and a Gold CSCS/ECS card, with proven experience in electrical installation and maintenance. Candidates with 2391 Test & Inspection and/or SSSTS/SMSTS are particularly encouraged to apply, as long-term progression opportunities are available.

Electrical Engineer / Electrician Role

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for power, lighting, and controls.
  • Carry out wiring and electrical support for HVAC, BMS, and renewable energy systems.
  • Perform testing, inspection, and fault finding in line with 18th Edition and IEE regulations.
  • Support project delivery across industrial, commercial, and domestic sites.
  • Liaise with site managers, project teams, and clients to ensure safe and efficient installations.

Electrical Engineer / Electrician Requirements

  • Qualified Electrician with recognised electrical qualifications.
  • Gold CSCS/ECS card and 18th Edition certification (BS 7671).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience across industrial, commercial, or domestic electrical projects.
  • 2391 Test & Inspection and/or SSSTS / SMSTS certification is advantageous.
  • Strong fault-finding, testing, and problem-solving skills.
  • -field-based, covering Devon, Plymouth, Cornwall, Dorest and surrounding areas
  • Regular trips into the office and merchants for part collection based near Newton Abbot.-
