Location: Langage Power Station, Plymouth (75% office / 25% Plant work typically)
Salary: up to £75,000 per annum plus 10% flexitime bonus on top.
Hours: 37 hours per week with flexible working hours.

Job Overview:
An opportunity has arisen to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering department at Langage Power Station.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the long-term integrity of all HV and LV electrical systems on site, ensuring high levels of safety, reliability, technical and legal compliance.
They will also provide specialist support, guidance and technical advice to the Engineering and Maintenance teams on site, as well as long term planning and through-life management (including obsolescence) or site electrical infrastructure and systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Electrical Engineering Technical Procedures and relevant external legislation.
- Determine maintenance and inspection requirements for electrical systems.
- Identify, specify, and manage electrical-biased contracts, including contractor management.
- Contribute to the rolling 5-year business plan for electrical systems, including in-year spend and phasing management.
- Plan and lead electrical inspection works during scheduled outages to maintain system integrity, reliability, and compliance.
- Provide specialist electrical support and advice to Engineering and Maintenance teams on both short-term and long-term issues.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Background:
- Strong knowledge and experience of HV and LV electrical systems (transmission and distribution).
- Proven experience with HV and LV protection systems.
- Familiarity with DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) management.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering with extensive industrial experience.
- Membership of a professional institution or actively working towards membership/chartership.
