Night Shift Electrical Engineer – Chiswick

We''re recruiting a Night Shift Electrical Engineer to join a well-established critical environment team based in Chiswick, West London. This is a permanent position on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working 7pm–7am, offering a strong basic salary of £57,500 with on-site parking available.

The Role

As a Night Shift Electrical Engineer, you''ll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems within a single, prestigious commercial building. You''ll work alongside a Shift Leader and be part of a small, experienced team of qualified engineers. The building operates within a critical environment, so you''ll be expected to maintain the highest standards of compliance, documentation, and technical delivery throughout each shift.

Key duties include:

• Planned and reactive maintenance to electrical systems (electrical bias, multi-skilled)
• Maintenance and operation of critical systems including UPS, generators, chillers, STS, and AC cooling
• Acting as or supporting the HVAP function on shift
• Reading and adhering to Method Statements and Risk Assessments
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and job task documentation
• Supervising specialist sub-contractors where required
• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety policies and statutory certification requirements
• There is no call-out obligation on this role.

What We''re Looking For

To be considered as a Night Shift Electrical Engineer, you''ll need:

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation – essential
• 18th Edition BS7671 – essential
• Proven background in critical environments (UPS, generators, chillers, HV systems, AC cooling)
• HVAP qualification (in date) – highly desirable
• Multi-skilled capability with strong mechanical awareness
