Your Future TeamWe are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the technical capability of our Design Authority (DA).

Your MissionThis role will be suited to engineers with experience in Electrical Design, although candidates experienced in Electrical Installation or Maintenance are also welcomed.

ResponsibilitiesTechnical Excellence:

Specify, produce, and assess design packages.

Reliability and Operations:

Define reliability and operational constraints.

Maintenance Procedures:

Assess work control procedures for maintenance.

Design and Material State:

Evaluate design, material state, and ageing mechanisms.

Safety and Security:

Promote safety and security culture.

Ensure contract outputs meet safety requirements.

Infrastructure design and maintenance.

Knowledge of safety and security protocols.

Assess conditions and ageing mechanisms.

QualificationsSkills to be successfulExperience:

Experienced Electrical Engineer with previous knowledge of industrial plant and machinery in a HV and LV environment (i.e. pumps, generators, lightning protection, control systems etc.)

Knowledge of current design standards and working practices including British and European Standards.

Theoretical and practical skill and experience across concept design, detailed design and construction stages across a range of electrical engineering projects (ideally including industrial and/or maritime).

Experience in the design assessment of electrical plant and equipment to withstand hazards.

Experience of authoring and producing robust technical justification and supporting documentation to allow for relevant electrical design modifications to be authorised within a high hazard industry.

Experience working on multi-discipline projects providing engineering input (ideally within industrial and/or maritime).

Qualifications and Training:

Essential:

HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.

Detailed Knowledge:

Design Intent for Electrical Infrastructure in the nuclear or similar industry.

Desirable:

Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience and standing

Degree or equivalent qualifications and experience in a relevant engineering discipline
