Electrical Design Engineer

An established specialist engineering manufacturer delivering bespoke HVAC and engineered systems for industrial applications is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join its project engineering team. The role will take responsibility for the electrical design element of multi-discipline projects, progressing control systems from initial operational philosophy through detailed design and manufacture. Responsibilities will include producing electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, specifying components, creating BOMs, preparing production and project documentation, reviewing certification and supporting projects through manufacture and close-out. There will also be regular liaison with mechanical design, manufacturing, suppliers and customers, with occasional project-related travel.RequirementsMinimum 2 years'' experience designing electrical control systems for industrial applicationsIdeally experience within bespoke HVAC, ventilation, air handling or other engineered mechanical systemsStrong electrical design capability, including control panels, schematics, component selection and production drawingsExperience using AutoCAD or similar electrical design softwareAble to interpret customer specifications and design in accordance with relevant UK / international standardsExperience producing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical / manufacturing documentationRelevant electrical engineering qualification, ideally Level 3 / Level 4 or equivalentPLC software ..... full job details .....
