Electrical Design Engineer

As our new Electrical and Instrumentation Design Engineer, you''ll provide technical expertise in the design, maintenance and improvement of electrical and instrumentation systems across our manufacturing site. You''ll play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, safety and compliance while supporting the delivery of engineering projects and site improvements. Working as part of our ECandI team, you''ll collaborate closely with technicians, engineers, production teams and external contractors to design and implement new installations, support existing control systems and deliver capital projects. This is an opportunity to apply your specialist engineering knowledge in a complex process manufacturing environment while helping to maintain safe, efficient and reliable operations. Some of your key responsibilities: TDesign electrical and instrumentation installations, including hazardous area (ATEX) applications. Manage and deliver small capital projects from design through to commissioning. Provide technical support and guidance on plant electrical and control system issues. Maintain and develop site control systems, PLCs, SCADA and associated documentation. Ensure compliance with electrical safety, engineering standards and relevant legislation. What we''re looking for: HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent Level 4 qualification). Experience working within a process manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
