This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging, high-value projects from concept through to commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver world-class automation solutions.

The Opportunity

You''ll take ownership of electrical and control system design for bespoke automated machinery projects, playing a key role in delivering innovative solutions that meet demanding customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and control architectures for special purpose automated machinery.
• Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts and bills of materials using EPLAN.
• Select and specify electrical components and safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant machinery safety standards and regulations.
• Support control panel build activities and supervise electrical system implementation.
• Assist with machine commissioning, troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Contribute to the development of standardised engineering solutions and best practices.
• Liaise effectively with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams.

What We''re Looking For

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronic or Control Systems Engineering.
• Experience in electrical design within automation, machinery, robotics or special purpose equipment.
• Strong EPLAN experience is essential.
• Understanding of machine safety systems, risk assessments and machinery compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to deliver engineering projects to timescale and budget.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

Desirable Experience

• PLC programming knowledge (Siemens, Rockwell, Omron or B&R).
• Robotic integration experience including SCARA, Delta or 6-axis robots.
• Experience with machine risk assessments and safety validation tools such as SISTEMA.
