Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design and DeliveryLead electrical engineering activities across water and wastewater infrastructure schemes, including treatment facilities, pumping installations, and wider network assets. Develop and review electrical designs, calculations, specifications, schedules, and technical drawings in line with project requirements. Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, legislation, and health and safety obligations. Identify safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical solutions through optioneering and value engineering. Provide technical input through construction, commissioning, and handover stages.Power, Control and InstrumentationDesign and specify LV power distribution systems, MCCs, switchgear, UPS, and standby power solutions. Produce earthing, lightning protection, and cable sizing designs. Coordinate with control and instrumentation specialists to ensure alignment with control systems, instrumentation, and telemetry requirements. Review technical submissions from suppliers and contractors, including FAT and SAT documentation.Project and Stakeholder InterfaceWork collaboratively with mechanical, civil, process, and control disciplines to deliver coordinated engineering solutions. Engage with project stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, and operational teams.
