Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer An exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to work on complex, special-purpose machinery. This role offers ownership of bespoke engineering projects from design through to installation. The role focuses on the design of electrical and pneumatic control systems for special-purpose machinery, including PLC-based systems such as Siemens S7 and/or Rockwell ControlLogix. Experience with servo drives and motion control is highly advantageous. You will be responsible for validating designs to current safety standards, supporting CE certification, producing electrical documentation, and working closely with manufacturing, service teams, and customers. The role includes occasional international travel (approx. 4-5 trips per year) to support installations and upgrades. Key Requirements Experience designing electrical control systems for special-purpose machinery PLC experience (Siemens S7 and/or Rockwell ControlLogix) Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical Experience with safety systems, standards, and validation Ability to produce BOMs, FAT, and as-built documentation Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Desirable: Safety circuit design to SIL levels Motion control/servo drive experience ..... full job details .....
