Electrical Design Engineer Water and Wastewater Location: Sheffield Contract type: Freelance Start date: ASAP Pay rate: £28 - £32 per hour (The rate of pay is dependent on experience and qualifications, with the higher rate available to candidates who meet the specified experience and qualification requirements.) About the Role Linear Recruitment are looking for a Temporary Electrical Design Engineer to help design and deliver electrical engineering solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects. You will work on electrical systems for pumps, motors, control panels, power distribution and process plant, ensuring designs are safe, reliable and suitable for installation on site. You will work closely with mechanical, civil, instrumentation, control and automation engineers to ensure all parts of a project work together effectively. You will also provide technical support during construction, testing and commissioning. Key Responsibilities Design electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. Produce electrical drawings, schematics, layouts and technical specifications. Design and review power distribution systems, motor control systems and electrical installations. Prepare cable schedules, load schedules, single-line diagrams and equipment specifications. Support the design of motor control centres (MCCs), distribution boards and control panels. Calculate electrical loads, cable sizes, voltage drops and protection requirements. ..... full job details .....
