Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer Our client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their engineering team. The role is based in the North East (Teesside). Key Accountabilities Provide technical support, leadership and guidance to projects, operations, and maintenance. Competency assessment of site electricians and contractors electricians. Specification, budgeting and scheduling of electrical inspection and preventative maintenance, including HV / LV and ATEX routines to ensure reliable, safe and reliable operation. Development of HV switching programs Responsible for the application of appropriate electrical engineering codes and standards and management of any deviations from standards. Prepare cost estimates and business case proposals for electrical equipment/system CAPEX. Perform electrical calculations, prepare drawings and technical specifications. Perform electrical network modelling using software tools (e.g. ETAP) Provide technical support in troubleshooting and conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis. Report monthly progress on electrical engineering and maintenance KPIs Provide input on method statements and risk assessments. Ensure that contractors work to the site procedures and in line with the UK safety management systems Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Degree educated Experience managing design/installation/commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems on a COMAH site, preferably in the bulk liquid storage sector Significant ..... full job details .....
