Electrical Design Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with strong E-PLAN experience to join a specialist engineering team designing bespoke equipment for the aerospace and automotive industry. You will play a key role in delivering high-reliability, safety-critical electrical designs for technically complex, low-volume, high-value systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working on custom machinery, thrives on detail, and understands the demands of aerospace standards and quality. Key Responsibilities: Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panels using EPLAN Develop electrical systems for specialist aerospace equipment and test rigs Produce technical documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing packs Ensure designs comply with aerospace, electrical, and machinery standards Support build, test, validation, and commissioning activities Collaborate closely with mechanical, systems, and software engineers Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities Essential Skills and Experience: Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer in a regulated engineering environment Strong hands-on experience using EPLAN (P8 preferred) Background in designing control panels and electrical systems for bespoke machinery Solid understanding of electrical standards (IEC, BS, UL or equivalent) Ability to work methodically with a strong focus on quality and traceability ..... full job details .....
