Electrical Design Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a substantial player within the industry. The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for developing, designing, and documenting electrical systems for locomotives and associated equipment. Reporting to the Principle Electrical Engineer, this role ensures that all electrical designs meet technical specifications, industry standards, safety requirements, and project timelines. The role involves close collaboration with mechanical engineers, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver reliable and maintainable electrical solutions. Electrical Design Engineer Role: • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system layouts in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards. • Design and specify electrical components, panels, and systems, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. • Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical designs with overall product architecture. • Support prototype development, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. • Review and update technical documentation, drawings, and bill of materials. • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical design or ..... full job details .....
