Electrical Design Engineer

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have an exciting role on offer to join a leading engineering consultancy as an Electrical Design Engineer, on a contract basis, outside IR35. Within this role, you will be required to work from our client''s office in Glasgow, on a hybrid basis, in which you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of data centre projects, as a part of a skilled team of engineers.

-Competitive hourly rate of -45 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working arrangement (will consider remote to candidates further afield)

Key Responsibilities:

-Create electrical design drawings and specifications for Data Centre projects, using software such as Revit, Dialux, AutoCAD, and Amtech.

-Supply detailed reports, calculations, and project documents that all meet industry standards.

-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, mechanical engineers, and architects.

-Ensure designs comply with all codes, standards, and regulations.

-Contribute to sustainable and low-energy solutions through innovative design approaches.

-Manage project deadlines, budgets, and deliverables and support junior team members to expand overall knowledge.

Key Requirements:

-Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

-Chartered, or working towards chartered, status is ideal.

-Proven experience in electrical design, with a solid understanding of British Standards, building regulations, and CIBSE guidelines.

-Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software tools.

-Familiar with relevant electrical regulations.

-Strong communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
