Electrical Design Engineer

Due to continued investment and growth, a-market-leading engineering organisation is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Working within a complex engineering environment, the Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical systems across a high-tech product line, generating detailed schematics, and producing build documentation.

Key details:

• Designing control panels, developing electrical schematics, and generating associated documentation using EPLAN.
• Assisting in the sourcing and specification of appropriate electrical components.
• Serving as the primary electrical point of contact during machine build, resolving technical issues, and responding to production queries promptly.
• Modifying and enhancing existing control system designs as required.
• Providing engineering expertise for post-installation support and troubleshooting.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to help deliver projects on time, to spec, and within budget.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have proven experience electrical design-using a CAD package (Auto CAD Electrical, EPLAN, Solidworks Electrical). It would be advantageous to a formal qualification (HNC, HND, or degree) in Electrical Engineering, and experience with servo drives, PLCs, and HMI systems.
