Are you an Electrical Design Engineer from a Building Services background looking to step into a senior role where you can be the technical authority across complex MEP projects, with structured mentoring towards chartership and long-term development?

On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established multidisciplinary MEP engineering consultancy, working on electrical building services design across a range of projects while developing your capability through a formal CPD programme and mentoring support.

The business provides electrical design, sustainability and decarbonisation design services, and energy procurement support. They are known for delivering high-quality work and are looking to add another senior technical figure into the electrical design team following staff movement.

In this role you will lead technical design delivery, review drawings and calculations, run project meetings, conduct site surveys, maintain client relationships and support business development, alongside managing workloads and regular one-to-ones within the team.

This role would suit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer / Principal Electrical Design Engineer looking to take technical ownership, develop towards chartership, and progress along a leadership path within an electrical design function.

The Role:

• Technical authority for electrical building services design within a multidisciplinary MEP consultancy
• Lead design delivery across RIBA Stages 1-6, including review of team calculations and drawings
• Run project meetings, conduct site surveys, and manage client relationships
• Support team workloads and carry out one-to-ones; contribute to business development
• Hybrid working, based from Dudley (2 days per week in the office)

The Person:

• Electrical Design Engineer with Building Services / MEP design experience (5+ years)
• Confident producing and reviewing designs using AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Looking to step into a senior technical authority role with long-term development (chartership support available)
