West MidlandsRef: 24870The Role:Use Electrical design CAD software to produce accurate, functional and cost-effective electrical systems designsUse discussions and technical documents to determine customer requirementsProduce customer documentation - functional design specifications and system manualsCreate accurate 2D layout drawings for electrical panel build system IO layoutLiaise with suppliers to determine appropriate components selectionProduce bills of materials (BOMs) accuratelySupport the commissioning team to ensure successful FAT and SATCarry out design calculations either by hand or using software to verify suitability and performanceCollaborate with the wider design teams and departments to improve functions and processes and participate in design reviewsThe Person:HND level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or industry experienceExtensive experience with Eplan electrical design softwareExperience with hand calculations for drive systems, electrical loadings and current ratings etcExcellent communication skills with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise workloadPrior experience in bespoke/special purpose machine building and designAbility to deal with customers , suppliers and internal departmentsAn understanding and experience of UKCA/CE Technical file creation including carrying out risk assessmentsThis role is based in the West Midlands and would be commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Tamworth, Redditch etc.For further information call Sharon Hill on: 01902212000 or 07764208419.
