You will be supported by this employer to study for a degree on a day release basis alongside working. Electrical Engineer / Electrical Design / Building Services / MEP / Engineer / Electrical Apprentice / Electrical Trainee / Trainee Electrical Design Engineer This role is to join an engineering consultancy, they design all the mechanical and electrical systems within buildings such as schools, hospitals and office buildings. This apprentice / trainee role will be responsible for assisting engineers in order that you gain experience and detailed working knowledge of all parts of the construction industry; you will become specialised as an electrical design engineer. Responsibilities Assist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks, equipment selection and drawing production. Understand main components to system designs and the different types of systems. Awareness of design options and their application. Carry out detailed design calculations and adopt a full understanding of computer design packages. Develop an understanding of Legislations, Standards, Building Regulations and Codes of Practice. Learn and understand construction techniques and develop awareness of other design team disciplines.
