Our client is currently seeking an Electrical Craft Team Member to become an integral part of their multi-skilled shift team. If you are passionate about problem-solving and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you!
What You Will Do:
As an Electrical Craft Team Member, your primary responsibility will be to ensure their electrical systems operate at peak performance while adhering to the highest safety standards. Your daily tasks will include:
- Conducting planned and reactive maintenance across the plant to minimise downtime and keep machinery running efficiently.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults in relay control circuits, AC and DC motors, and various drives.
- Performing basic PLC fault-finding on Siemens S7 300, 1200, and 1500 PLCs.
- Interpreting electrical drawings and utilising computerised maintenance management systems (MMS).
- Identifying and implementing improvement projects to enhance plant reliability and performance.
What You Will Need:
We are looking for a qualified electrician with hands-on experience in a heavy industrial setting. Candidates should possess:
- An apprenticeship or a Level 3 qualification (BTEC, City & Guilds, or NVQ Level 3) in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with low voltage systems, drives, and PLCs.
- Competence in electrical fault-finding and root cause failure analysis.
- Familiarity with SAP PM or similar maintenance management systems is preferred.
This role follows a rotating shift pattern of days, lates, and nights (Monday to Friday), so flexibility is essential. Being a team player is crucial, as you''ll be working alongside a multi-skilled engineering team. Holding an 18th Edition qualification or basic mechanical knowledge is a bonus.
