Electrical compliance engineer

Nelson Recruitment Services are excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Electrical Compliance Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical professional who has a strong understanding of compliance, inspection, testing, and electrical safety standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems, installations, and maintenance activities remain compliant with current legislation and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations and standards.
• Conduct electrical inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Review maintenance records, certification, and technical documentation.
• Identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support and guidance on electrical safety matters.
• Support risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Liaise with contractors, engineers, and site management teams.
• Produce detailed reports and maintain accurate compliance records.
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of compliance procedures.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Electrical Engineer or Time-Served Electrician.
• Strong working knowledge of current electrical regulations and compliance standards.
• Experience carrying out inspections, testing, and audits.
• Excellent understanding of electrical safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
• Previous experience within industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or utility sectors.
