Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Water Sector Location: Guildford Contract Duration: 6 months+, with potential for extension Rate: Up to £600 LTD per day Start Date: ASAP You will work as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer on a major water and wastewater infrastructure project in the Guildford area, supporting a leading Tier 1 contractor within the water sector. You will be responsible for the inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical equipment, instrumentation, and associated control systems. You will work closely with commissioning managers, site engineers, systems engineers, instrumentation specialists, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure all commissioning activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and contractual requirements. Roles and Responsibilities You will ensure compliance with company procedures, work instructions, quality assurance processes, health and safety regulations, and environmental management requirements. You will carry out the timely testing, pre commissioning, and commissioning of electrical equipment and instrumentation across water and wastewater treatment facilities. You will commission electrical systems associated with pumps, motors, motor control centres (MCCs), control panels, variable speed drives (VSDs), and associated plant equipment.
