Electrical Assembly TechnicianUp to £40,000Bedfordshire If your crimps are neat and your looms are tidier than everyone else''s, read on.Our client is a leading defence and aerospace manufacturer, and they need a hands-on Electrical Assembly Technician to build cable harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies to exacting military standards.You''ll: Build and terminate harnesses and looms from engineering drawingsCrimp, solder and assemble connectors, then dress and lace to specFit heat shrink, backshells and shieldingSelf-inspect as you goTest continuity, insulation resistance and functionKeep traceability and records spot on, and flag non-conformances early You''ll need: Proven harness, wiring loom or electro-mechanical assembly experienceConfidence reading drawings, schematics and wiring schedulesHands-on crimping, soldering and cable prep skillsAn eye for detail and the discipline to follow processes preciselyThe ability to work independently and as part of a team IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certification are a bonus, as is defence, aerospace or naval experience.
