Electrical Architect

MERITUS are recruiting for an Electrical Architect to join our client in an initial 6 month contract to support sovereign defence programmes as the business continues to scale.ELECTRICAL ARCHITECT - INSIDE IR35 - £NEG - 6 months - UNDERGO SC - STEVENAGE (BRISTOL ALSO CONSIDERED) - MUST HAVE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE - SECTOR: DEFENCEYou will be responsible for the electrical architecture and requirements for missiles and/or their associated launcher systems with duties including:Specifying/determiningsystem electrical requirementsinterface definitions and characteristics between subsystems/equipmentpower architecture, including power budget and power profiles data communication and processing architecturerequirements for EMC, bonding, grounding and screeningsignal safety, including routing of safety related signals Supporting test and fault-finding activities during compatibility checks, risk reduction, system proving/qualification and integrationReviewing and authoring reports, guidelines and processesDesign assessments and analysisWorking to defence/industry standardsAttending and supporting design reviewsAlternatively, acting as the Equipment Manager (RMO) for specific electrical/electronic equipment(s) that are part of a missile or launcher system you will:Project manage the equipment(s) on behalf of the project during development, qualification and manufactureOwn the requirements on behalf of the project for the equipment(s)Produce Statement(s) of Work for the ..... full job details .....
