Electrical/Electronic Engineer Newcastle Upon Tyne £35,000 £50,000 per annum (DOE) Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a global engineering manufacturer in the appointment of an Electrical/Electronic Engineer to join their high-performing RandD team. Role Overview You ll play a pivotal role in designing and developing electrical and electronic systems for industrial control products. Working from initial concept through to full production and support, this role offers cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. Electrical/Electronic Engineer Key Responsibilities Develop and translate customer or internal specifications into structured work packages and designs. Design, develop, and validate electrical/electronic systems for industrial applications. Perform circuit-level simulations, fault-finding, and verification/validation (VandV) in both lab and field settings. Support prototyping, product testing, compliance activities (e.g. CE, UL, UKCA), and EMC/EMI testing. Produce and maintain documentation including schematics, test plans, and validation reports. Collaborate with stakeholders across quality, procurement, manufacturing, and engineering teams. Provide technical support for existing product ranges and contribute to new product introduction (NPI).
