Electrical and Controls Engineer Teesside Salary: up to £70,000 DOE Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with one of the UK s largest port operators on the appointment of an Electrical and Control Engineer to join their Marine Engineering team. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Teesside. Electrical and Control Engineer Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Create electrical control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and automation hardware/software. Develop functional design specifications. System Integration: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to integrate electrical controls into wider systems. Testing and Commissioning: Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical equipment. Maintenance and Optimization: Carry out routine maintenance tasks, ensuring high availability and reliability of control systems while improving efficiency and reducing downtime. Fault Finding and Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve faults on electrical and control systems, implementing fixes to prevent future occurrences. Compliance: Ensure adherence to electrical and control engineering standards in line with health, safety, and environmental legislation. Documentation: Prepare technical reports, manuals, and system documentation. Project Support: Provide technical input during project planning, execution, and handover.
