We''re on the lookout for an Electoral Services Assistant to join our well-established client based in Witney until the end Jan 2026
About the role:
To support the effective delivery of Electoral Services, including the administration of elections, electoral registration, and other statutory electoral duties as required.
This role involves working as part of a team supporting the Electoral Services Manager and working with the Electoral Services Officers, to ensure that legal and procedural requirements are met efficiently and accurately.
Duties (are not limited too):
- Process applications for registration, postal/proxy votes, and other related services
- Assist with Polling Station venue bookings for elections
- Assist with the preparation and set up of polling station materials including ballot boxes
- Assist with the preparation and return of postal voting packs.
About You:
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
- Natural and engaging style of communication
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet statutory deadlines
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- A can-do attitude and work ethic to ‘get the job done’
Working Hours:
The hours are 37 hours a week, being Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 hour lunch. This role is office based, with free parking available on site and a smart causal dress code.
Salary £14 - £15 - Depending on experience
