OverviewWe are proud of our large Assistant Psychologist team based in our four locality teams, who support team delivery. We have strong ties with University Educational Psychology training courses and provide a large number of placements for trainee colleagues, including Fieldwork A or B placements and Year 2 and 3 Trainees. We also have a pool of Associate EP colleagues who support our statutory commitments and are valued within our service. The service has strong, positive relationships with the local authority, schools and partner agencies, and is well integrated into the broader system of support for vulnerable children, young people and their families in the city. The Educational Psychology Service has an excellent reputation and is committed to innovation, quality improvement, research and development. We engage in initiatives such as SCERTS, ELSA, VIG, VERP, MeLSA, Trauma Informed Attachment Aware Schools and Restorative Practice. Our EPs have the freedom to work at the individual, small/whole group, staff, parent, or systemic level. We are not prescriptive and value the diversity of approaches of our psychologists.
