Educational Psychologist
Job Purpose To provide educational psychology services to schools and educational settings, and to provide statutory psychological advice to the LA in the context of Education, Health and Care Plan assessments Support the provision of effective, efficient, high-quality support and advice in relation to the educational, behavioural and psychological progress of children and young peopleSpecific Accountabilities of the Role 1 Provide consultation, assessment and intervention to promote the educational and social inclusion needs of children and young people in the 0-25 age range. This will involve working closely with parents/carers, teachers and other agencies 2 Provide support and challenge to schools and educational settings to help develop the effectiveness of interventions and strategies used to support children and young people with special educational needs 3 Consult with LA colleagues, and staff in educational settings on organisational issues, relevant to the needs of all children and young people and particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities 4 Provide psychological advice to the LA as part of statutory EHC assessments under the Children and Families Act (2014), and the SEND code of practice: 0 to 25 years 5 Support the development of the role of preventive work within the context of the EP Service development plan including research and project work 6 Represent the EP Service at relevant LA SEN panel meetings 7 Contribute to ..... full job details .....
