EDU Geometric Integration Lead Engineer

OverviewWe are looking for an experienced EDU Geometric Integration Lead Engineer to join our team. This role plays a pivotal part in the development of Electric Drive Units (EDUs), a core component in our client''s electrification strategy.

The successful candidate will lead the EDU Geometric Integration team, ensuring the EDU is compatible with system-level requirements. You will manage a multidisciplinary team within an Agile framework, delivering geometric compatibility, entitlement to meet system performance requirements, and demonstrating quality through evidence-based engineering reviews.

Responsibilities

EDU Geometric Compatibility

Create and publish skeleton models to define EDU component architecture.

Regularly publish full assembly models in line with sprint cadence.

Manage EDU assembly design freeze in line with programme gateways.

Support vehicle package reviews and virtual build events.

Support virtual builds for rig setups.

Resolve Incompatibilities

Lead resolution of issues that span multiple component groups through integration design reviews.

Provide support for vehicle build issues.

EDU System Validation

Create test requests as defined by the DFMEA.

Compile and upload evidence and test reports to corporate repositories.

Complete evidence-based engineering reviews for EDU assemblies.

Labels Release

Design and release responsibility for EDU labels.

Skills, Knowledge, and ExperienceEssential:

Strong experience with 3D modelling tools and techniques, ideally CATIA V6.

Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDandT).

Proven knowledge and application of Agile product delivery methodology.

Demonstrable track record of delivering innovative design solutions.

Experience in project management and issue resolution.

Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable:

Prior experience in a Product Owner role.

Experience managing projects and backlogs using Confluence and JIRA.

Previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
