Contract EDS EngineerLocation: West Midlands Duration: Initial 4 Months IR35: Outside IR35 Start: ASAPI''m currently working with a client in the West Midlands who is looking for an experienced EDS Engineer to support a live vehicle programme on an initial 4-month contract.This is a hands-on role focused on schematic capture, circuit design and 2D harness drawings, working closely with the customer and supply chain to deliver designs through to release. Zuken is preferred, but engineers with experience in Capital, VeSys, Arcadia or E3 are also encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce wiring diagrams and circuit schematics from vehicle architecture and system requirementsDevelop designs from concept through to manufacturable sign-offDefine fuse and grounding strategies in line with industry best practiceCreate 2D harness drawings and electrical assembly documentationSupport design validation, fault investigation and root cause analysisProvide clear progress updates to programme stakeholdersRequirementsAutomotive electrical engineering experienceStrong EDS design experience, including schematic capture and harness designKnowledge of fusing, grounding and vehicle network topologiesExperience producing 2D harness drawings for manufacturingUnderstanding of low-voltage vehicle electrical systemsFamiliarity with OEM standards and Vandamp;V processesDegree qualified or equivalent engineering qualificationDesirablePrevious Zuken experienceExposure to DFMEA or functional safety ..... full job details .....
