EDM Engineer

Walker Group provides advanced high-precision manufacturing services from centres of excellence located in the UK and Poland. Due to ongoing demand, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Glasgow as a EDM Engineer. As EDM Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Spark and Wire Erosion machines to perform EDM precision machining operations.EDM Engineer Key Responsibilities:Oversee Machinery set-up and operate machinesLoading materials and unloading finished productsAdjust machine settings as requiredFollow technical drawings working to customer tolerancesCarefully follow procedures and safety guidelines. Including company procedures, operating standards, and process documentationMaintain an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments, and repairs. Machine inspections for mechanical or safety issuesEnsure machines are well stocked with tooling and material to ensure limited downtimeSafety focus to ensure themselves and others are safe around operational machineryFlexibility to support production requirements during busier periodsEDM Engineer Skills and Behaviours:Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workExcellent communication and teamwork skillAbility to follow instructionsEDM Engineer Qualifications and Experience:Time served EDM EngineerExperience in Spark Erosion and Wire ErosionAbility to read technical drawingsExperience of working to high quality standards on precision ..... full job details .....
