ECT of English

An Academy in Southend on Sea, Essex-is looking for an ECT of English-to join them on a-permanent, full-time basis from September 2026.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach English-across Key Stages 3 and 4-
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that challenge and support students
• Contribute to the development of the history curriculum and department initiatives
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)-or equivalent
• Has strong subject knowledge in-English
• Has experience teaching in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Is committed to raising student achievement and supporting personal development
