E-commerce Warehouse OperativeDepartment: Warehouse and LogisticsReports to: Warehouse Manager / Supply Chain ManagerJob Type: Zero Hour contract - 37.5hours on average with opportunity for Full Time Permanent Job Purpose:To support the efficient operation of the e-commerce warehouse by ensuring accurate picking, packing, and dispatching of online orders, maintaining inventory integrity, and contributing to a safe and productive working environment. Key Responsibilities:Order Fulfilment:Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently using handheld scanners and/or pick lists.Stock Management:Receive, check, and store incoming goods. Assist with stock counts and inventory audits.Dispatch and Shipping:Prepare parcels for dispatch, ensuring correct labelling and documentation. Liaise with courier services as needed.Returns Processing:Handle returned items, inspect for damage, and update inventory systems accordingly.Warehouse Maintenance:Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.System Updates:Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to update stock levels and order statuses.Team Collaboration:Work closely with other warehouse operatives and supervisors to meet daily targets and KPIs. Skills and Experience Required: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role (e-commerce preferred) Basic IT skillsFamiliarity with WMS or inventory software.
