Ecologist

We''re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Ecologist to join a growing environmental consultancy in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an ambitious team working on a diverse range of exciting projects across multiple sectors.

In this role, you''ll be involved in a variety of ecological surveys and assessments, supporting projects that contribute to biodiversity and sustainable development. From preliminary ecological appraisals to protected species surveys and mitigation strategies, you''ll enjoy a varied and rewarding workload where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities:

• Conducting field surveys and ecological assessments
• Supporting projects from initial design stages through to construction
• Producing clear, accurate, and high-quality technical reports
• Collaborating with planners, engineers, and other environmental professionals
• Contributing to the development of practical, nature-positive solutions
  
  

What we''re looking for:

• A degree (or equivalent) in Ecology or a related field
• Experience in ecological surveying and report writing (consultancy experience desirable)
• Strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation and industry best practice
• A proactive attitude with genuine enthusiasm for the natural environment
• A willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the team
