      <description>Location: Nottingham | Salary: &amp;pound;28000 - &amp;pound;35000/annum | Type: Permanent | Job Title: Ecologist    Location: Nottingham  Salary: £30,000 - £37,000   Permanent, full time – with flexible and hybrid working options available      The Role    I am currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Ecologist with a strong background in botany and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) to join a friendly team in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, helping to deliver high-quality ecological advice and measurable biodiversity outcomes across the East Midlands.    Requirements    	 	 3+ years consultancy experience   	   	 	 Relevant degree e.g. Ecology, Zoology, Environmental Conservation   	   	 	 Experienced in protected species surveys e.g Bat, GCN etc   	   	 	 Good knowledge of UKHat and relevant ecological legislation and planning policy   	   	 	 Strong botanical identification skills   	   	 	 A full UK driving license   	   	 	 FISC accreditation (desirable but not necessary)   	     Key Responsibilities    	 	 Undertaking habitat surveys and botanical assessments   	   	 	 Leading and supporting Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and reporting   	   	 	 Calculating biodiversity units using the statutory bio...</description>
