Ecologist (Bat Detectors)

Your new role As a Bat Detector Ecologist, you will support environmental compliance on a major highway infrastructure project, carrying out bat activity surveys and monitoring to inform ecological mitigation and ensure works remain compliant with relevant legislation.Key responsibilities include:Undertaking dusk/dawn bat surveysDeploying, retrieving and analysing bat detectorsIdentifying bat species from acoustic recordingsAssisting with ecological inspections and site monitoringProducing accurate field notes and survey dataSupporting Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) activities where required.Liaising with site teams to communicate ecological constraintsEnsuring all work is completed in line with health and safety proceduresWhat you''ll need to succeed Degree in Ecology or related areaCSCS / Highways Passport Own PPEExperience carrying out bat activity surveysProficiency using bat detector equipment and softwareStrong bat species identification skillsKnowledge of UK wildlife legislation and best practice guidanceAbility to work flexible hours, including early mornings and eveningsFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleExcellent communication and report-writing skillsBat Licence L1/2What you''ll get in return 200 - 350 P/Day (Outside IR35 Available)Opportunity to work on a nationally significant infrastructure projectFlexible contract arrangementsValuable experience within a large-scale construction environmentSupport from an experienced environmental recruitment ..... full job details .....
