East Sussex Council - Finance Manager

As a Finance Manager you will work alongside your management colleagues to lead, develop and motivate a team of professional finance staff to co-ordinate, support and continuously improve financial management within East Sussex County Council. This will include developing and delivering training for our Finance team, and for our budget managers, particularly as we transition to Oracle Fusion, our new ERP system.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work with the diverse teams of specialists in the Service Directorates that enable the Council to support its residents and get best value for our services. In doing so, you will directly contribute to the efficiency of East Sussex County Council (ESCC) and help the Council to deliver its key priorities.

You will collaborate with Departmental services, to facilitate budget management, cost control, savings identification and forward planning of the Council''s activities and co-ordinate and oversee the closure of departmental accounts.
