Earthworks Setting Out Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major infrastructure project on the HS2 route.

Project Details:
This role will support Backfill operations, working across multiple active work areas in Buckinghamshire.

Contract Length: Approx. 6 months (with potential extension)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily compliance surveys across 4–6 active gangs/work areas
• Process and manage survey data accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all setting out and surveying activities meet project specifications and standards
• Coordinate with site teams to maintain smooth operational delivery

Requirements:

• Strong setting out and surveying experience within civil engineering projects
• Excellent working knowledge of LSS software and Propeller
• Competent with Trimble equipment (own equipment beneficial but not essential)
• Ability to work independently across multiple work fronts
• Own 4x4 vehicle preferred
