As an Earthworks Examiner you will be required to visit earthwork locations along the railway in order to carry out compliant examinations using a handheld device (Electronic data base collection system). While initially required to work within your local rail territory, you may eventually radiate outwards staying on location. As well as holding a degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or a related descpline, an ideal candidate will have a history of working on the railways and will hold a valid PTS (preferred but no essential). The ability to work alone and efficiently is a critical component of this role, as well as a driving licence.
