The school supports children and young people aged 5-19 with autism and associated needs. You will work predominantly with the school''s younger children, providing a high level of 1:1 support within a small and nurturing provision. The role will focus on developing communication, engagement, emotional regulation and early learning skills, although you should also be comfortable supporting older pupils across the school when required.What You''ll Be DoingProvide regular 1:1 support for younger pupils with autism and additional needsSupport early learning, communication, social interaction and emotional developmentBuild consistent and trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe and engagedUse personalised strategies to support emotional regulation, behaviour and individual learning needsWork with small groups and support older pupils across the provision when requiredRecord progress and observations and provide personal care where neededWhat We''re Looking ForExperience supporting Early Years, primary-aged children, Autism or SENDLevel 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is preferred, although strong Level 2 candidates will be consideredCalm, ..... full job details .....
