Early Years Teacher - Long Term Maternity Cover - Stafford - Start Date: September
We are currently seeking an experienced Early Years Teacher to join a lovely school in the heart of Stafford, covering a long-term maternity on a temporary basis through a supply agency.
You will be expected to be an enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate Early Years Teacher who is committed to raising the standards of progress and expectations; closing gaps in any learning. You''ll be able to work effectively, flexibly and supportively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class.
- Treat all pupils with dignity, building trusting and strong relationships which are rooted on mutual respect.
- Work proactively and actively alongside colleagues and the leadership team.
- Deliver and plan the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of the class that you teach.
- Responsibility for the preparation and development of teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate.
What we''re looking for:
- Qualified Primary Teachers (or those due to qualify by Summer 2026)
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Feels confident in holding full class responsibilities and be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons if required during a long-term cover role
- Is flexible, reliable, and willing to work on a long-term basis.
- Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one)
- Can provide two recent professional references
- Is able to commute to a school in Stafford
- Is fully registered (or willing to register) with Academics
Pay -130 - -160 per day, depending on experience and class responsibilities. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
