About the Role
Location : North London / Central London
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you''ll be a vital part of the classroom, supporting the main teacher and creating a positive, safe, and engaging environment for young children. You will work with a diverse group of pupils including children with special needs, assisting with daily activities, managing classroom resources, and providing one-on-one or small-group support. This role is perfect for someone who is flexible and adaptable, ready to take on various challenges whether they''re in a day-to-day supply role or a full-time, long-term position.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Work with individual pupils or small groups to support learning and development.
Assist in planning and preparing creative and engaging learning materials and activities.
Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
Provide support with personal care needs if required.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
Previous experience working with children in an early years setting (e.g., nursery, preschool, or primary school).
A strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: -95 - -115 per day, depending on experience and the nature of the placement.
Contract: A range of opportunities are available, including daily supply, short-term assignments, and long-term contracts, offering great flexibility.
